The Sony DCR-TRV11 camcorder is based on a miniDV tape.

What do you know expecing Mac? Nothing pop automatically.

IMovie Connecting a 4-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable to camcorder DV port and a FireWire port on your Mac - with the camera in "Play" or "VCR", you start
Name of the project,
Select the video project in the target folder
Select DV (provided that you have to decide the video in standard definition 4:3 mode - widescreen DV recorded whether the video was recorded in this manner.
. Create
The iMovie import screen will be displayed.

She did not say that Mac is possible that the Firewire port is inactive. System Preferences: Network: Port State. Make sure that you have a checkmark in the box firewire.

It is also possible that the FireWire or FireWire port on the camcorder is bad.
